Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro migth ditch the physical SIM card slots in favour of eSIM. With an eSIM, Pixel users can connect to their network without a physical SIM card in their phone. Apple brought iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models without a physical SIM card slot in the US.
