Neutron Star Collision Captured in Millimetre Light for the First Time
Researchers have found a way to capture millimetre-wavelength light originating from a collision of a neutron star with another star. The flash emerging from this collision was among the most energetic short-duration gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) ever observed, according to the researchers.
