Facebook Misused Privacy Decree to Shut Down Research on Political Advertisements, Says US FTC

Facebook got an earful from US FTC on Thursday after the social media platform disabled personal accounts of New York University researchers citing the privacy of other users. The agency said Facebook could be using privacy as an excuse to “advance other aims”.
